ACLS Course Director

ACLS Instructors are NOT like BLS Instructors. ACLS Instructors after receiving an ACLS Instructor eCard may only do skills testing for HeartCode and/or assist an ACLS Course Director in a classroom course.

American Heart Association policy states new ACLS Instructors MAY NOT teach classes on their own until they become a Course Director. The role of Course Director is one of great responsibility.

To become a Course Director is a process which involves 3 simple steps.

  1. Complete and sign the Course Director Application.
  2. Complete ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment (PSA) and Precourse Work.
  3. Complete the ACLS Course Director PowerPoint presentation.

Application Details

  1. Length: The Online Course and PowerPoint presentation take several hours
  2. Print or save the ACLS Precourse Self-Assessment (PSA) and Precourse Work Certificate of Completion AND Score from the Online Course.
  3. Print and save the signed ACLS Course Director PowerPoint Acknowledgement form.

Application and documents are mailed or emailed to The CPR Lady Training Center
